Responsibilities:

  • Administer and maintain database systems, including PostgreSQL, ClickHouse, MySQL/MariaDB, MongoDB, and Elasticsearch
  • Ensure high availability and fault tolerance through cluster configuration and replication setup
  • Monitor database performance and optimize queries to improve efficiency and response times
  • Design and implement backup and disaster recovery strategies to ensure data safety
  • Automate routine operational tasks using tools such as Ansible and Terraform
  • Collaborate with development teams to improve data models and optimize SQL queries
  • Configure and use monitoring tools, including Prometheus, Grafana, PMM, Temboard, PgHero, and Loki
  • Maintain data security by managing access control and applying best practices
  • Participate in database migration and upgrade projects
  • Maintain technical documentation and share knowledge with team members

Required skills:

  • At least 3 years of experience working as a Database Administrator
  • English B1-B2 and fluent Russian
  • Strong hands-on experience with PostgreSQL, including tools such as Patroni, HAProxy, Keepalived, and PgBouncer
  • Experience working with ClickHouse, MySQL/MariaDB (including Galera), MongoDB, and Elasticsearch
  • Proven ability to support high-load, highly available systems in production environments
  • Experience with monitoring tools such as Prometheus, Grafana, PMM, Temboard, and PgHero
  • Hands-on experience with automation tools like Ansible and Terraform
  • Experience working with cloud platforms, particularly AWS
  • Scripting skills in languages such as Python or Bash for automation tasks
  • Understanding of data security principles and access management
  • Strong analytical thinking, attention to detail, and ability to work in a team environment
